Servings: 4

Total time: 40 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 salmon fillets (6-8 oz, skin removed)
  • 2 Tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 ½ Tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 1 ½ Tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 ½ Tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ Tbsp white vinegar
  • ½ Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp freshly grated ginger, or ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • Sesame seeds and green onion for garnish

DIRECTIONS

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and grease with cooking spray.
  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, teriyaki sauce, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, white vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger, until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Put the salmon filets in a large bowl and pour the sauce overtop. Cover with plastic wrap and set aside to marinate for 20 minutes.
  • Remove the salmon from the marinade but reserve the liquid. Arrange the filets on the prepared baking sheet and bake for about 15 minutes, until the salmon is cooked through and flaky.
  • In a small saucepan, bring the marinade to a boil, then simmer until slightly thickened, about 4 minutes.
  • When the salmon is finished baking, brush with the teriyaki sauce, then sprinkle with chopped green onion and sesame seeds.
