Red Rice

INGREDIENTS

  • 5 cups short-grain rice
  • 5 ½ cups water
  • 4 Tbs bacon grease or vegetable oil
  • 1 package (⅓ oz) achiote powder (or paprika)
  • 2 packages (1 ½ oz each) sazon goya with coriander and annatto
  • 1 package (1 ½ oz) Goya ham seasoning
  • ½ cup onion, chopped
  • 1 ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp Accent seasoning

DIRECTIONS

  • In a large pot, stir together all ingredients except rice until well combined. Add in the rice, and stir to combine.
  • Bring the rice to a full boil, stir, then cover and lower heat to medium-low for 20-30 minutes.
  • Enjoy!
