Slow-Cooked Pork

INGREDIENTS

  • 6-lb bone-in pork butt or shoulder
  • 1 Tbsp liquid smoke
  • 1 Tbsp Kosher salt
  • 1 green cabbage, cut into 2” squares

DIRECTIONS

  • Rub the pork roast with the liquid smoke and kosher salt, then place fat-side-up in a crock pot.
  • Cook on low for at least 8 hours (preferably overnight), until it falls apart easily.
  • Shred the pork in the crock pot, discard the bone, then add the cabbage and increase crock pot heat to high. 
  • Cover and cook until the cabbage is softened, about 20 minutes.
  • Serve hot over white rice!
