Buttered Peas

INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups frozen peas
- ½ cup yellow onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbs butter
- 2 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp dried thyme
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
DIRECTIONS
- In a nonstick skillet over medium heat, melt the butter, then sautee the onion, sugar, and salt until the onion is softened, about 2 minutes.
- Stir in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the peas and thyme and cook, stirring frequently, until the peas are heated through, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the black pepper and serve hot!
