Key Lime Pie

INGREDIENTS
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10 crackers)
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 3 cups (24 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¾ cup lime juice (about 15 limes)
- 1 Tbs lime zest
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbs powdered sugar
- Lime slices for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter.
- Press the crumb mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
- Bake for 8 minutes.
- In another medium bowl, mix together the sweetened condensed milk, sour cream, and lime juice.
- Pour the mixture into the graham cracker crust.
- Bake for 5 to 8 minutes, until tiny bubbles burst on the surface. It shouldn’t be browned!
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- In the meantime, use electric beaters to whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks start to form.
- Add in the vanilla and powdered sugar, and beat until peaks form, but not much longer.
- Garnish the pie with the whipped cream and lime slices, and serve cold!
NOTES
- Make this recipe even easier by using a premade graham cracker crust and whipped cream!
