Blueberry Lemonade

INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- ¾ cup sugar
- ⅔ cup lemon juice
- Peel from 1 lemon
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice, blueberries, and lemon slices for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar, lemon peel, and 1 cup water. Bring to a boil until syrup is yellow, then remove from heat, discard the peel, and let cool.
- In a blender, puree the blueberries and 1 cup water. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, if desired.
- In a pitcher, combine the puree with lemon juice, syrup, and remaining water. Taste and add more sugar or water, if desired. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Divide between glasses and garnish with blueberries and lemon slices.
