Texas Toast

INGREDIENTS
- 1 loaf bakery white bread, cut into thick slices about 1”
- ½ cup butter
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup grated parmesan
- 3 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp parsley
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- In a small, microwave-safe bowl, microwave the butter for one minute, or until melted.
- Add the garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper, and mix well.
- With a pastry brush, spread the mixture on both sides of the bread slices and put them on a baking sheet.
- Bake until the bottom is golden brown, about 7 minutes. Flip, top with combined cheese (optional), and bake for an additional 7 minutes, until bread is browned and cheese is melted.
- Serve warm with smoked brisket!
