Frozen Lemonade

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups water (divided)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice 
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest 
  • 5 cups ice
  • 1 lemon, sliced, for garnish

DIRECTIONS

  • In a medium saucepan, bring 1 cup water and the 1 cup sugar to a boil and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved. Cool completely.
  • In a blender, combine the simple syrup with remaining water, lemon juice, lemon zest, and ice until it reaches desired consistency.
  • Garnish with lemon slices and serve immediately.
