Cheesy Corn

INGREDIENTS
- 2 Tbs salted butter
- 4 tsp flour
- ⅛ tsp garlic powder
- ¾ cup milk
- 6 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 4 oz cream cheese, cubed
- 5 cups (30 oz) whole kernel corn
- 4 oz diced ham steak
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 375 F.
- In a large pan over medium heat, melt butter, then whisk in the flour and garlic powder and cook for 1 minute to make a roux.
- Whisk in the milk and simmer until thickened and bubbly.
- Add the cheddar and cream cheese, stirring until melted and fully incorporated into the sauce.
- Remove from heat and stir in the corn and diced ham.
- Pour everything into a square casserole dish and cover with foil.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until hot and bubbly.
